Talon Final ExamThe seemingly typical, residential area of a New England suburb was turned upside-down this morning at the discovery of a stray alley cat trapped on an eight-foot high branch as it was casually lounging that bright June Saturday.   
Before the inevitable disaster struck, however, a local hero plucked the stranded stray before risking one of its nine lives in its return to the ground.  
 
The four-time Olympic gold medal champion for the U.S. speed skating team denied the lavish ceremony in his honor where the mayor promised him the key to the city and one free, no-strings-attached wish for putting his safety aside to save Talon Final Exam

Russia...well, what's leftDid you hear? I can hardly believe it myself if I hadn't seen it happen-well, on TV, anyway. Apparently, half of Russia's gone . . . just like that. Blown up, actually. Oh, don't be upset; the good bit's left. I know! I was blown away too-no pun intended, of course. The worst part is no-one can pin it on anybody.  
 
Though I know who did it . . .  
 
It was Mr Barker-Finch down the street. You know Mr Barker-Finch; he's the quiet one with the funny car and that mailbox that looks like a porpoise, and he's always humming Vivaldi, depending what season it is, of course. He's not without common decency.

An Odd Discovery . . .The discovery was odd; though nothing so dark and filled with the hellish breath of the inevitable could possibly be anything close to ordinary.  
 
He sat in his chair in a casual fashion, though the torso slouched, the shoulders hunched awkwardly--one higher than the other through an accident of the incident--while the feet lay fat on the floor. There were very few peculiarities about him, actually. If it were not for the cool touch of his skin of the air around him that made the nose wrinkle and the body to draw away, no-one would have every realised that some how this man was no longer complete, that a vital part--the most vital An Odd Discovery . . .

Meh, nothing I don't tune out already. Senseless drivle seems to run rampant everywhere.

By the way, you remember the blip of a story I had you read in psychology one day with the Killer and whatnot? Well, Katie just said that it was a load of *you know what* and now she's got me doubting whether it really is good or not. I mean, I know the writing is fine, but it's the plot that has me bothered. Though I usually think that it doesn't matter what the plot is. A writer could have a story about a duck going to wal-mart because target didn't have the High School Musical t-shirt it wanted in its size or something stupid like that and make it fantastic. So the plot really shouldn't matter, but it does to me. Of what you read, you thought the plot was good, right?

Nice, a duck, and walmart. I believe that, too. It's not my plot, I know, it's my gross writing.
Yours, however, is both elegant and plot witty. Your writing style is beautiful, and your plot seemed really intricate. How much more intricate do yo need to get with a serial killer? I mean, if he hasn't been caught yet you know there is something deep about the character, and then, inevitably the author as well.

When I get older, and see your name on a book, I wouldn't even hesitate to buy it, and I don't buy books, I check them out at the library. :D
